Walking through a thrift store the other day, my daughter saw a ‘home phone’ with a cord and asked what it was. She wouldn’t believe me when I told her it was a telephone – “but where’s the screen, ma?” Consumer’s needs evolve quickly. Can you imagine leaning against the wall for hours just so you don’t yank the phone off the wall when the cord stretches? Seems archaic, but really that was only 20 years ago.
